TipPool — Tip Splitter & Tip-Out Calculator

TipPool splits a shift's tips among your team to the exact penny, and shows its working.

Enter the cash and card tips, add who worked and for how long, and TipPool shows each person's payout straight away. No spreadsheet, no leftover pennies, no arguments about the maths.

Four ways to split (full version)

• By hours worked: the pool is shared in proportion to hours
• By hours x role points: a bartender or busser can count for more or less per hour than a server
• Each role gets a percentage: for example servers 60%, bartenders 25%, bussers 10%, hosts 5%, then shared by hours within each role. If a role is not on shift, the others are scaled up automatically
• Tip-out: servers keep their own tips and tip out support staff as a percentage of their tips or of their sales

Always adds up

Every payout is worked out in whole cents using a largest-remainder method, so the shares add up to exactly the money collected minus the card fee. The screen shows the check. For testing, we ran thousands of random shifts through every method, and the totals matched to the cent every time.

• Optional card-fee deduction, taken from card tips only
• Optional whole-dollar payouts, with stray cents going to the biggest share
• Warnings for anything odd: someone with no hours, a role with no percentage, a server who cannot cover a tip-out
• Save each shift, share the payouts as plain text, and export every saved shift as a CSV

Private and simple

• Works fully offline: the app has no internet permission
• No ads, no account, no tracking, no subscription. Your numbers stay on your phone unless you share them
• Adapts to phones, tablets and foldables (two-pane view on wide screens)

The free demo splits by hours for up to 6 people, with the card fee option. The full version adds role points, role percentages, tip-out, unlimited people, saved shifts, sharing and CSV export.
